Mark McKendry

Managing Director

Mark McKendry is the founder of AdaptXion, a specialised advisory firm focused on interest-rate risk, treasury strategy, and the evolving intersection between institutional finance and emerging digital-money technologies.

Mark began his career with JP Morgan, working as a trader in JPM Treasury in London and New York. Over the next 25 years he has held senior trading positions at RBS Financial Markets, Westpac Institutional Bank and RBC Capital Markets where he ran large rates portfolios and led global trading teams. He has deep experience in advising some of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, central banks and private banks in risk management and global interest rate markets.

Most recently he served as Group Treasurer of Auswide Bank (ASX: ABA), where he led Treasury, chaired key governance committees, and oversaw interest-rate risk, liquidity, balance-sheet strategy and hedging frameworks for the bank.

Mark is also a Managing Director at SEDA Experts in New York, advising global law firms, regulators and financial institutions on complex matters across capital markets, interest-rate hedging and digital-asset infrastructure. His recent work includes serving as principal consultant in the largest interest-rate hedging case in Australian financial-market history

He holds a BSc (Hons) in Banking and International Finance from City, University of London and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and Certified Financial Technician (CFTe.) He also holds certifications from the MIT Sloan School of Management in both Blockchain Technologies and AI: Implications for Business Strategy.

Mark lives in Australia and the United Kingdom and works globally across banking, private credit, development finance, capital markets and emerging-technology sectors.
